The premier get-together for content, innovation and quality in children’s and youth screen media
PRIX JEUNESSE INTERNATIONAL 2026 was held from 29 May – 3 June 2026 at the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation in Munich, Germany. Marking a historic change after six decades of tradition, the festival took place at the BR Campus in Freimann, in the north of the city, for the very first time. A total of 440 children’s and youth television programmes were submitted by TV channels and production companies for competition in the Main Categories (duration 4 – 60 minutes) and the Shorts Categories (duration up to 3 minutes).
The festival week was attended by 300 children’s media experts from almost 50 countries, who gathered to explore quality in children’s programming, share expertise, connect with peers and honour the year’s most outstanding productions. Alongside long-standing participants, the festival welcomed numerous newcomers.s screen media.
Theme of the 32nd PRIX JEUNESSE INTERNATIONAL was “Media Literacy in Times of Polarization: The Role of Children’s TV”.
The festival concluded with a festive award ceremony honoring the worthy winners.
