Let’s make a difference! Be a part of the share-pool: For Us, No Planet B!
The global warming crisis has been known for over 40 years. Even if the target of +1.5 degrees Celsius is met, the next generations will have to face an increase in natural disasters, large areas of the Earth will become uninhabitable, leading to mass migration of millions of people etc. Children and young people did not cause the climate crisis, but they will have to deal with its consequences, the crisis, and a changing world. They not only have the right to information, but they must also be given the opportunity to develop perspectives for the future in a world in (climate) crisis.
As children’s media experts, it is in our hands to find ways to foster climate literacy, to enable children and young people to understand what is happening, to show them ways to initiate change, and to foster political engagement and resilience.
Together with partners around the world, the PRIX JEUNESSE Foundation together with the IZI has developed a catalogue of 13 media formats for children and young people on the global warming crisis including actions they can take. There are 13 different formats: From the Dictionary of Climate Crisis, which explains the basic concepts of the global warming crisis in a one-minute animation, an innovative and beautiful preschool magazine (WeMe’s Nature World), to shorts on the wisdom of indigenous communities (What we have forgotten).
Every broadcaster is invited to join this project and to participate in the share-pool. By contributing a segment to one or more of the 13 media formats, you will receive the rights to broadcast the content available in the share-pool for free!
